The Oman Dental Society (ODS) was established in November 2005 to be the professional society for dental health care workers, The ODS is a non–govern– mental organization that seeks to advance all matters related to Oral Health, It is open to all Oral Health care workers who represent dentists working in every sphere, from high street general practices, through community and hospital settings, to universities and elsewhere, The society is run by volunteers from diverse organizations and industries, , It is governed by a constitution and is run on a zero–profit basis with sponsorship & membership fees as the main revenue sources, ODS is a state– wide professional membership organization representing licensed dentists, periodontists, dental implants surgeons, and dental students
